Spirit Gifts LLC
Mimi Brown brings creativity, energy, dedication and a spiritually based foundation of encouragement and personal growth to individuals and groups with a primary focus on those addressing addictions and abuse; giving those individuals space to find and nurture their personal spirituality.
Based in Atlanta, GA, Mimi has over twenty-five years of experience with local resources needed to identify and implement dynamic, life-changing projects and programs designed for women to live out loud!
Formal Training & Current Work
Mimi’s earliest training was at Spelman College in the Dual-Degree Architectural Engineering program with Georgia Institute of Technology. It was here that her precision in the creative process was born. She continued to work in the field of engineering for over 15 years while cultivating her gifts of creativity and service. Mimi has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Governor’s University in Utah and was awarded a Master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology at Sofia University in Palo Alto, California.
Administratively, Mimi became increasingly adept with creating and facilitating various curriculums through her work as project and program management for the recently incarcerated and drug treatment community, as well as through her position of Outreach Director for a fairly large, local ministry.
Volunteerism and service is at the forefront of the majority of activities Mimi involves herself in. She is a co-founder, and on the board of a facility that exists to provide programming and space to individuals seeking safety and recovery from alcohol and drugs. She is also the founder and sole owner of Spirit Gifts, providing spiritual weekend retreats and creating art through jewelry-making.
The groundwork of Mimi’s current endeavors continues to be a spirituality based foundation of authenticity and creativity through self-expression. This is accomplished by:
- Unique jewelry creations utilizing primarily recycled items
- Workshops created and facilitated to address specific audiences and topics
- Research and writing
Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God-the rest will be given. -
